Itinerary Details

Day 1

ARRIVAL COCHIN

On Arrival cochin Assistance upon arrival and transfer to hotel. Cochin is truly a museum city and is found in the most abundant quantities at fort Cochin. Fort Cochin is believed to be the oldest European settlement in India. Vasco Da Gama first arrived in Cochin in 1502. He returned again in1524 as the Portuguese viceroy of the Indies. He died here and was buried in St. Francis church, the first European church in India. In the evening see a Kathakkali dance drama which is a must while in Cochin. Overnight at cochin.

Day 2

COCHIN

After breakfast, have half day city tour of Cochin. Places to visit include Dutch Palace at Mattancherry. (Friday Closed), The Jewish Synagogue at the heart of what is locally called the Jew Town. (Friday & Saturday Closed) The St. Francis Church, the oldest European church in India.The Santa Cruz Basilica, originally built in 1557 by the Portuguese. Drive past the Chinese fishing nets which are huge cantilevered nets believed to have been brought to Kochi by Chinese traders. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 3

COCHIN-MUNNAR

After Breakfast drive to Munnar. On arrival check into hotel. Overnight at Hotel. 

Day 4

MUNNAR

After breakfast leave for full day sightseeing tour of Munnar. Visit Devikulam lake, Mattupetty lake and Kundala lake. The tea estates, hills, lakes and forests inside Munnar range exposes it's beauty. There are about 30 tea plantations in and around Munnar. Pallivasal, another worth seeing place in Munnar is the venue of the first Hydro Electric Project in Kerala and a place of immense scenic beauty. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 5

MUNNAR- PERIYAR

After breakfast drive to Periyar. Periyar is South India's most popular wildlife sanctuary the park encompasses a 26 sq km artificial lake, created by the British in 1895 to provide water to Madurai, and spreads into Tamil Nadu. It is home to Bison, Antelopes, Samber, Wild Boar, Monkeys, Langur, a wide variety of birds, and some 7500 elephants. Rest of the evening is free to relax at the resort. Overnight at the Hotel. 

Day 6

PERIYAR

After breakfast,  Spice plantation Tour. Optional trails traversing diverse habitats form the trekking routes, generally 4 to 5 km. in length. This is an interpretive program offering excellent opportunity to watch birds, butterflies and other wildlife. The trails often pass through evergreen and moist deciduous forests interspersed with marshy grasslands. The program is offered between 2.00 pm and 3.00 pm and lasts choose activities from the hotel reception like  Nature walk in the sanctuary, Cloud Walk etc. Different nature for about 3 hours. The Nature walk is the right program to feel nature, hear her whispers and smell her flowers. Overnight at hotel.

Day 7

PERIYAR / ALLEPEY/KUMARAKOM

After breakfast, drive to Kumarakom. En route take the house boat Cruise for 3 hrs lunch on board. Then drop at jetty evening reach Kumarakom.  Kumarakom on the banks of Lake Vembanad. Here, you hop on to a boat to Coconut Lagoon, an eco-friendly resort created from restored heritage homes, set in a web of canals on the banks of the Kavanar river. On arrival check in & overnight. 

Day 8

KUMARAKOM

Wake-up call by the birds from the nearby bird sanctuary and get ready to experience yoga for your body and mind. After breakfast, bird watching on a boat accompanied by a Naturalist who will identify the birds which wakes you up in the morning. Before lunch there is enough time to visit the Village nearby. Evening finds you on a sun-set cruise on the lake, in a converted rice boat adrift to a flute accompaniment. After cruise it is learning time. Learn to cook some authentic Keralan dishes in the cooking demonstration class organized by the Chef. The resort gives an opportunity to see some traditional Art Forms of Kerala  Overnight at the hotel.

Day 9

KUMARAKORAM /KOVALLAM

After Breakfast drive to Kovallam. On arrival check in to hotel.  Day at leisure. Overnight at hotel.

Day 10

KOVALLAM

After Breakfast day at leisure. Overnight at hotel.

Day 11

KOVALLAM/TRIVANDRUM DEPARTURE

After breakfast provided in time assisted departure transfer to the International airport to connect flight for onwards journey.
