Itinerary Details

Day 1

Florence

Arrival at the airport in Florence Transfer by private car to the hotel.Lunch on your own. Afternoon free at leisure. Dinner on your own.Overnight in Florence. Grand Hotel Adriatico or similar.  
 

Day 2

Florence

Breakfast at the hotel.Enjoy a morning walking tour of Florence (SIC): Piazza del Duomo, where you can admire the Cathedral, the bell-tower by Giotto, the medieval quarters, Piazza della Signoria, then the picturesque Mercato della Paglia(Straw market), and Ponte Vecchio. Lunch on your own.In the afternoon, tour to PISA (SIC): Piazza dei Miracoli, with the celebrated Leaning Tower (exterior), the Baptistery (exterior) and other important monuments, the interior of the Cathedral, an unrivalled masterpiece of Romanesque art constructed between the 11th and 12th centuries.Dinner on your own. Overnight in Florence.
 

Day 3

Florence

Breakfast at the hotel. Full day excursion to Siena, San Gimignano and chianti Region (SIC) Driving south from Florence and crossing the beautiful Hills of Chianti reach San Gimignano, a picturesque, fascinating medieval town declared a World heritage Site by UNESCO and famous for its white wine, the world renowned Vernaccia. The visit is free for independent sightseeing. Continue to Siena, the Medieval town with the suggestive Piazza del Campo famous for the Palio and for being one of the most splendid examples of Gothic civil architecture in the world. In the afternoon we will move to the Chianti area with its impressive picture-postcard landscape and in a famous wine estate you will taste the best Chianti red wine along with home-made snacks. Possibility of buying wine, oil, balsamic vinegar, cheese and aromatic herbs at advantageous prices. (Including: transport, tour guide, guida in Siena and entrance fees to museums. Overnight in Florence.
 

Day 4

Rapallo area

Breakfast at the hotel.Transfer on your own to Rapallo Lunch on your own. Afternoon free to visit Rapallo, a spectacular coastal town lying between the mountains and the sea in the Ligurian Riviera. Overnight in Rapallo area. Hotel Metropole or similar.

Day 5

Rapallo area

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer on your own to Cinque Terre by train. Discover Cinque Terre on your own: classified as part of the Unesco World Heritage. The wild and steep coastline of this area includes five picturesque fishing villages. Monterosso has the most beautiful beach and its church dedicated to St. John the Baptist has a Genoan black and white inlaid façade; Vernazza is distinguished by its octagonal bell tower facing the sea and its two guard towers; Manarola has houses with coloured towers; Riomaggiore is a small fishing port in a cove with black stratified rocks; Portovenere is charming, with its marine village and gothic church in Genoan style, dedicated to St. Peter, perched on a rocky spur. Lunch on your own. Overnight in Rapallo area.
 

Day 6

Florence

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer by boat from Rapallo to Portofino. Day dedicated to the discover of Portofino on your own, a charming little marina that has become an elite tourist destination and well known romantic place par excellence. A jewel of the Italian Riviera that fills our hearts with emotion, where you will experience the scents of the Mediterranean plants and flowers and admire the fishing boats near the tourist yachts. Boat transfer from Portofino to Rapallo. Transfer on your own to Florence. Dinner on your own. Overnight in Florence. Grand Hotel Adriatico or similar. 
 

Day 7

Florence

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer by private car from the hotel to the airport.
