Enjoy a dream adventure going underwater to 35 meters depth on board of a real submarine. Go for a once in a lifetime experience and discover the beautiful marine life and the underwater world of Mauritius! As part of the submarine trip will get to visit a shipwreck, explore the rich coral reefs of Mauritius, and observe and encounter various species of fish. This is a wonderful experience for everyone visiting Mauritius. You will get to experience what you only dream about, when going underwater and staring into the crystal clear Indian Ocean water and discovering the rich sea life deep underwater. The submarine activity begins with a pre departure briefing on land, followed by a motor boat transfer to the main platform where you will board the submarine. Then the submarine will start its decent into the deep sea for a real fantasy adventure trip. You will cruise along the reef and view the corals from very close, explore the local rich marine life, visit the ship wreck of the famous Star Hope cruiser, and discover a 17th century anchor on the bottom of the ocean. The submarine is air-conditioned with fully transparent-glassed cabin so you will enjoy exceptionally clear panoramic views of the extraordinary underwater world. It is designed so each passenger has individual observation window for viewing outside on the wonderful underwater world. There is also a camera situated on the submarine’s bridge which projects the great views from outside through a TV screen located inside the submarine, giving you an additional view of the marine life. At 35 meters undersea, you may see some rare species and will explore the underwater world of Mauritius like on safari trip. Apart from the marine life, the sprawling exotic corals make this submarine trip a memorable experience. The pilots of the submarine are well educated in marine biology and are trained to provide a safe trip to all the travelers. Beverages will be provided during the trip. At the end of the trip each passenger will receive an individual certificate signed by the submarine pilot certifying your experience on the submarine. The departure point is about 2km from the center of Grand Baie. The submarine is offered several times a day (between 08:30 - 16:30), every day.

The Bird Park is home to 150 species of birds from 5 different continents, including the lovely long necked Pink Pigeons which until recently were threatened with extinction. The Pink Pigeons can be seen alongside hundreds of other exotic species from Asia, Australia, Africa and America. The park also had a very beautiful Petting farm. The Petting Farm is a great joyful experience for children where they can meet and pet “Bambi” the deer, Lori the cockatoo and Cecile the wild boar amongst other animals. At the petting farm a great lesson of love and care for animals is taught by the staff of the farm. For the convenience of the visitors, the park offers facilities such as a restaurant, children mini-club (games, slides, swings etc), snacks bar and souvenirs shops. Visiting the park is an ideal getaway for people of all ages, whether you are animal lovers, birdwatchers or just looking to have some great outdoors fun time. A major attraction on Gabriel Island is a highly recommended 45-minute hike that circles the island along a well-marked coastal trail; this trail is layered with stunning viewpoints from which you will be able to observe the spectacular aerobatics of the graceful Tropic birds – don’t forget your camera! You can also snorkel in the lovely lagoon, or simply laze in the sun on the beautiful sandbar that Gabriel Island is best known for. If you are also interested in a visit of Flat Island – another popular hiking destination – we will be happy to take you there in our motorized dinghy and pick you up at the time of your choosing. On the return journey to Grand Bay, we make a stopover at Gunners Quoin and its natural aquarium where you get to swim and snorkel among a multitude of colourful reef fish. How does it work? A helmet with a transparent visor is placed on your head. A special apparatus allows normal breathing under the water. The walking with lions is an adventurous activity proposed to those who wish to experience the wild side. Dont miss this unique opportunity which will be the highlight of your holiday in Mauritius! This activity takes place on the banks of Riviere du Rempart in a separate area of the Safari park. On your arrival to the park, you will be guided a special safari bus which will take you to the lions reserve where you could see the lions as well as tigers and cheetahs. consecutively will brief you with a short introductory chat on the lions and on the safety measures which should be taken during the adventure and the time you will spend with the lions. Then after, you will be introduced to the lions and their handlers to start your 1 hour walking with lions excursion. Under the coolness of the trees you can take pleasure in viewing the lions from very close, see them playing and hopping on the rocks of the river banks and scaling the trees. The lions roam freely amongst you offering a unique opportunity of being in close contact with them. With the supervision and guidance of the lions’ handlers, you can get even closer, and experience from firsthand how it is to walk alongside the lions, lead them the way and even pet them. You will get to see how the lions interact between them, climb trees and even how they feed. After the walk, refreshments are offered followed by explanations about the reproduction and conservation program of the lions. This includes 15 minute INTERACTION with the Lions. The Crocodile & Giant Tortoises Park which is home to various species of animals, reptiles and plants is set in a beautiful rain forested valley with natural freshwater springs, full of prawns and fish. As part of your visit to the Crocodile & Giant Tortoises Park, the park’s guides will guide you through some unforgettable walks, and you will stroll through luxuriant greenery where banana trees, palm trees and giant bamboos provide shade for the crocodiles and the giant tortoises. During your stay in the park you can also experience a firsthand unique encounter with the giant tortoises, and get a rare chance to feed, pet and play with them. Also thousands of Nile crocodiles and giant tortoises are found in the park and you can watch them in maximum safety.
